Heuchera Collection

A full and varied Heuchera collection is now in stock. Heucheras are one of the easiest and hardiest of the perennials that can create a colourful display all year long. Heuchera look particularly good in the Autumn and Spring. They grow almost anywhere with very little help or care.

Heuchera ‘Guacaomole’

This bright green almost acid yellow Heucera looks fantastic when planted along with other Heuchera in shades of red and orange. Its large bold leaves really sing out in the shade. Creamy white flower sprikes in the spring and summer. Growing to 50cm tall and 60cm wide making it one of the largest varieties in our Heuchera collection.

Heuchera Indian Summer ‘Coral Berry’

A very pretty Heuchera in the Indian summer range. The semi ruffed foliage in pinkish red shades with darker and more pronouced veining. A beautiful addition to autumn planted containers and window boxes. They are best grown in full shade or dappled light for the best colouring. White flower spikes in late-spring.  Growing to around 30cm tall and 40cm wide.

Heuchera ‘Berry Smoothy’

Just as the name suggest, this Heuchera has the foliage colour of smashed raspberries. As the leaves age they turn to a rosy purple colour. This Heuchera is pairs well with the deep purple or lime green coloured Heucheras. Alternatively they will brighten up shady borders. To get the best of the colour, plant in the shade or an area which only gets the morning sun. Cream flower spikes in the summer. Height 35cm Spread 45cm.

Heuchera ‘Obsidian’

The exceptionally black / purple leaves of this Heuchera contrasts with most other colours and shows off other plants brilliantly. Try pairing this variety with the bright yellow grass Hakonechola ‘Aurea’. Heuchera ‘Obsidian’ is one of the darkest colours within our Heuchera collection. More compact than most, Heuchera ‘Obsidian’ grows to around 30cm tall and wide.

Heuchera ‘Fire Alarm’

No one could ever call this variety boring. The flame red foliage will brighten the darkest of gardens. Plant this heuchera at the base of Japanese Maples for an explosive autumn and spring display. Growing to just 25cm tall and 40cm wide.

Heuchera ‘Solar Power’

This Heuchera has golden yellow leaves with deep red veins that widen with age. This variety is perfect for planting in large clumps around the garden or alone in a patio pot. Although this Heuchera does have lovely flowers, the foliage by its self is its main attraction. Growing to 30cm tall and 40cm wide.

Heuchera ‘Brass Lantern’

This Heuchera is very robust and has a dense crown of leaves in varieing shades of brass, copper, and gold. The leaves are maple shaped and also look fantastic when planted under Japanese Maples. The spring colour is just as bright as the autumn colour. Growing to 30cm tall and 40cm wide. For the best colours, grow in the shade.

Heuchera ‘Forever Red’

Another brilliant red in the Heuchera collection. ‘Forever Red’ truly is red forever no matter where you plant it. Tolerant of full sun as well as full shade with out the foliage fading in colour. Plant along withred stemmed Dog wood for a monocramatic planting scheme. Growing to 30cm tall and 40cm wide with pale pink flowers in the spring and summer.

Heuchera ‘Marmalade’

Deeply ruffled leaves in a range of colours all on one plant. Starting in shades of yellows and browns aging to rose, and reds with bright pink on the underside of the leaves. This Heuchera makes a great addition to patio containers for a splash of colour. Hardy in any situation but out of all of the Heuchera collection, ‘Marmalade’ copes very well in full sun.Growing to just 30cm tall and wide. White flower spikes from late-spring.

Heuchera ‘Lime Marmalade’

Heuchera ‘Lime Marmalade’ is one of the most popular Heucheras available at the Secret Garden Centre. Our customers prize it for its lime green, densely ruffled leaves. The foliage contrasts beautifully with almost anything you plant it with. It is ideal for adding to autumn-planted patio containers or in the border. 40cm tall flower spikes appear in June  and July with tiny white flowers. Growing to 30cm tall and wide.
