Growing bare-root Wallflowers
Our Bare- root wallflowers are grown by seed in a field through the summer months in Scarisbrick. As the weather cools they are lifted out of the field, graded by hand, packaged and delivered to the Secret Garden Centre within 24 hours. These plants have been grown to a good size which means that they will quickly reach a mature size once planted in your garden.
Plant your bare-root wallflowers in a bright spot in the border or in patio pots. They can be mixed with spring flowering bulbs for a beautiful display. Each sleeve of wallflowers contains on average 10 plants. Plant them 20 – 30cm apart in a sunny spot and keep them moist. They will fill the garden with colourful blooms from March and give the most delicious scent. Wallflowers are loved by bees and other pollinators so these are a must in any garden.
