Making your own Wreath for your door can seem daunting but it can be a relaxing and creative project which can be enjoyed by your self or with the children. For myself, I have made it into a festive tradition that i get a few friends round for a glass or two of mulled wine and a bit of laughter. To make things a little easier The Secret Garden Centre has pre-made noble fir wreaths in stock of varying sizes so that all you have to do is adorn them with your chosen decorations.

Once you have chosen your plain foliage wreath you will need to decide on what you will decorate it with. Evergreen foliage from the garden such as Eucalyptus, Holly or Sarcocca work very well. Twigs, Pinecones, Cinnamon, Dried flowers, Dried fruit, mini baubles and even feathers can be used. Rich coloured ribbon will make a luxury bow or even a strip of left over fabric will work. To attached your decorations you can either use wire you wrap around the item and then feed it through the wreath to secure at the back. This can be a little fiddly. Alternatively you can use a hot glue gun. This will speed up the time. We have a good selection of different bits and pieces to help you get creative with making your own unique creation.
An imperfect wreath its positively perfect in my book! Have fun with it.
Wreaths can easily be transformed into a lovely table centre piece. Just lay you wreath flat onto a plate! Add candles or even battery powered LED lights for a bit of sparkle.

Mistletoe, Pine foliage, Ilex berries, Pinecone, Lotus seed heads and much more can be found near the shop entrance.
